Submit to Our Annual Juried Competition: Works of Growth & Recovery
Momentum hosts an annual art competition and exhibition featuring the work of artists with disabilities and mental health conditions in October. Artists throughout Central Iowa submit their artwork for consideration. Artwork goes through a jury process by a local artist for entry into the exhibition. Works of Growth & Recovery is a celebration of inclusivity and the power of healing through art.
Submissions are accepted by online application and are due no later than August 31st, 2025. Anyone who identifies as having a disability or mental health condition in Central Iowa is encouraged to apply.
Momentum provides free studio space for anyone who ‘self-identifies’ as having a disability or mental health condition and is located right in the heart of Des Moines’ artist community, Mainframe Studios.
